Written by Noel Christensen in Software , Tips & Tricks
Nikon has announced the latest version of ViewNX software, and this time we have reached version 1.5.0.
Changes in version 1.5.0:
- The program now supports the camera D3S.
- Support for 64-bit versions of Windows Vista has been added. The program works, however, as on 32-bit systems.
- Support for a feature that makes it possible to write position information from a GPS log to image GPS brand, has been added. Various GPS information from a GPS log that is stored by a GPS unit (receiver) or cell phone with GPS support can be added to the images at the same time.
The following GPS log formats are supported.
NMEA format (with the extensions. NMEA,. NMa and. Log)
GPX format (with an. Gpx)
Ashiato data stored by the au * GPS-enabled mobile phones (extension. Txt) * au is a registered trademark of KDDI Corporation.
Ashiato data held by DoCoMo * GPS-enabled mobile phones (extension. Csv) * DoCoMo is a registered trademark of NTT DoCoMo, INC.
- Support for Epson E-Photo has been added. E-Photo is a printing program that comes with printer drivers for inkjet printers from Seiko Epson Corporation.
- A problem that sometimes resulted in reduced resolution image copies that were created with the function "Convert Files" (Convert Files) depending on the pixel count that was entered has been resolved.
- When the lateral color aberration compensation was applied to RAW images and then edited and saved using ViewNX Ver. 1.1.1 or ver. 1.2.0 was the lateral color aberration is sometimes not used. This problem has been solved.
