New version of Nikon ViewNX is now ready for download

Nikon has announced the latest version of ViewNX software, and this time we have reached version 1.5.0.

Changes in version 1.5.0:
- The program now supports the camera D3S.
- Support for 64-bit versions of Windows Vista has been added. The program works, however, as on 32-bit systems.
- Support for a feature that makes it possible to write position information from a GPS log to image GPS brand, has been added. Various GPS information from a GPS log that is stored by a GPS unit (receiver) or cell phone with GPS support can be added to the images at the same time.
The following GPS log formats are supported.
NMEA format (with the extensions. NMEA,. NMa and. Log)
GPX format (with an. Gpx)

Canon has today released a new firmware for the Canon EOS 1000D, which is version 1.0.6, and this includes these fixes:

This is Firmware v1.12 and this should solve the following problems:
With firmware Ver. 1.11 and earlier, the number of images that could be included (battery performance) lower with EN-EL9a than with EN-EL9. By upgrading firmware A Ver. 1.12, maximized performance with EN-EL9a, so there can be absorbed more shots (battery performance) with EN-EL9a than with EN-EL9.
