Review: Lowepro S & F Filter Pocket
Written by Noel Christensen in Reviews , Bags
Lowepro is a world leading manufacturer of bags for both digital camera, camcorder, laptop PCs, etc.. Lowepro is a name most people know and associate with attractive products in a high quality - with good reason, since Lowepro often both amateur and professional photographer's choice.
Lowepro produce a wide range of handbags in different series, each with their advantages and disadvantages, and in all sizes, from shoulder bags to large bags with room for multiple camera bodies, lenses and what a photographer or need to have on the road.
Besides dedicated camera bags Lowepro also produces a variety of accessory products, ex. this case we must look at since this is only built with one purpose - to protect your photographic filters.
Design & functionality
Lowepro S & F Filter Pocket is "just" a simple storage bag, and this is as such nothing revolutionary - but true to form is made of a quality that only Lowepro can deliver. The exterior is made of water resistant material and the inner bag is lined with a soft fleece-like material, so there is no risk to scratches or scrapes. Inside the bag are 6 rooms, each with space for one filter (max 82mm) This should certainly cover most needs. The only grievance is the plastic material used for the pockets, here I could have imagined that we had used a transparent plastic, so it was easier to distinguish the filters apart.
When the bag is closed fill it no more than an ordinary lady purse, and the size makes it fit right into the front pocket of Lowepro's own Utility Bag, but it can of course also easily be used alone or together with other photo handbags. One thing is for sure - your filters are extremely well protected.

Conclusion
Lowepro among elites within photographic equipment, and although this is one of your absolute cheapest product is not spared on design, materials and overall quality. True, this bag serves only one purpose, but you have several filters that can often switch between, so it's a small investment of nearly 150, - for an optimal and highly manageable way to transport and store filters.
