Verdens første 3D-videokamera til forbrugere

Panasonic lancerer verdens første 3D-videokamera til forbrugermarkedet. HDC-SDT750 gør det muligt for alle at skabe 3D-video.

SDT750, verdens første 3D-videokamera til forbrugere, har 3D-konverteringsobjektiv som fastgøres foran på kameraet for at optage i 3D. Objektivet optager video simultant fra højre og venstre side (hver i 960 x 1080p opløsning) for at imitere den måde øjnene ser på, og for at genskabe 3D-effekten.

SDT750s sensitive 3MOS billedsensor giver sammen med Crystal Engine Pro-processoren farverige og skarpe billeder både i 2D og 3D, selv i situationer med mindre lys. En 35 mm Leica Dicomar vidvinkeloptik (58mm ved brug af 3D-konverteringsobjektiv) gør det enkelt at filme landskaber, store grupper mennesker eller i små smalle rum.

Hybrid O.I.S. billedstabilisatoren korrigerer både for rystelser fra hænderne og uskarpheder, som kan opstå, når kameraet bevæges under optagelse.

Fem spændende kameranyheder fra Panasonic

Panasonic lancerer opfølgeren til succesen LX3 – DMC-LX5 – med endnu bedre billedkvalitet og HD-video. DMC-FZ45 og modellen DMC-FZ100 viderefører den populære FZ-serie med kraftig zoom og mange manuelle muligheder.
Det nye DMC-LX5 er opgraderet med ny optik, processor og sensor, og er fyldt med avancerede muligheder for ivrige fotoentusiaster. Den nyudviklede, lysstærke Leica-linse (F2.0 24mm LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON) minimerer støj og leverer billeder med høj opløsning og skarpe detaljer. Det optiske zoom er udvidet til 3,8x (hvilket svarer til 90mm), og sammen med en 24mm vidvinkel gør dette LX5 endnu mere alsidig. Den videreudviklede sensor giver LX5 billedkvalitet op til ISO 800, og har en højsensitiv funktion helt op til ISO 12800.

Review: Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical (APS-C)

Photozone.de har anmeldt Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical, et utrolig billgt vidvinkel objektiv fra den forholdsvis ukendte producent Samyang.

The Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical is a full format ultra-wide angle prime lens. It is, obviously, an extreme lens in its native playground but it’s still fairly wide when using it on an APS-C DSLR – the field of view is equivalent to ~22mm (full format) here. There’s a bunch of APS-C zoom lenses which outclass the Samyang in this respect but it performed extremely well in our full format test so it’s surely interesting to see whether it can keep this performance level in this scope. The lens is also sold/co-branded by other companies including Bower, Rokinon, Walimex and a couple more.

Review: Sigma AF 17-50mm f/2.8 HSM DC EX OS

Over the recent years Sigma struggled to take off in the fast standard zoom arena for APS-C DSLRs. This segment has been dominated by the Tamron AF 17-50mm f/2.8 (VC) with its highly attractive price/performance ratio and the all mighty but expensive Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 USM IS owning the quality crown. However, it may make sense to rethink this order of things now – Sigma just released their all new AF 17-50mm f/2.8 HSM DC EX OS. That alone may not be all THAT exciting – we’ve seen many fast standard zoom lenses by Sigma come and go – but this one is a bit more special. Recently Sigma announced a couple of lenses featuring their brand new FLD glass and the new 17-50mm f/2.8 OS is among them. FLD glass has an optical characteristic similar to fluorite glass. Such glass elements can be used to compensate optical aberrations (defects) more efficiently than conventional “special” elements such as Sigma’s more commonly used SLD glass. We were already very impressed by the performance of the Sigma AF 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 HSM DC which does also benefit from FLD elements so there’s some well founded hope that the AF 17-50mm f/2.8 HSM DC OS stands out-of-the-ordinary as well.

Review: Sigma AF 24-70mm f/2.8 EX HSM DG

A fast (f/2.8) standard zoom lens is one of the key products for many professional photographers and consequently such lenses are currently offered by all three full format DSLR manufacturers. Unfortunately at sky high prices these lenses are out of reach for many amateurs so most will look towards the alternative made by the third party manufacturers and both Tamron and Sigma have interesting products in this class. The Sigma AF 24-70mm f/2.8 EX HSM DG is the latest addition but against tradition it is just slightly (25%) more affordable than the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 USM L – a bold but also promising statement.

Review: Micro Nikkor AF-S DX 85mm f/3.5 G ED VR

When Nikon introduced the latest addition to its line of dedicated DX lenses, the Micro Nikkor 85/3.5 VR, one often heard question was: why would I want to choose this lens over the already existing Micro Nikkor AF-S 60/2.8? Many prefer to use their macro tele primes as portrait lenses, too, however with its rather moderate maximum aperture the new Micro Nikkor 85 VR does not look like an attractive choice for this kind of dual use.

Nonetheless, at least on paper there are a few good reasons to select this lens over the AF-S 60, at least for its intended primary usage, macro photography. First of all, being a dedicated DX lens, it’s rather compact and light-weight. In comparison to 60mm macro lenses it offers a larger and as such more comfortable working distance. And last but not least, there’s the added bonus of optical stabilization.

The Canon IXUS camera series is made up of quite a few generations. Canon frequently introduces its design cameras that are especially aimed at the trendy amateur photographer. Now and then a camera turns out to not only be designed stylishly, but also to be progressive in the technical sense. The past generations were each equipped with diverse innovative functions, but it did not make the difference with the competition any clearer. The Canon IXUS 300 HS is a 10 Megapixel camera with 3.8x optical zoom. So far, nothing much is revealed.

Review: Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5

Although its appearance doesn’t betray it, the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5 is unique in its kind. In the first place, the Sony HX5 distinguishes itself with its image sensor. While 99% of compact cameras are equipped with a standard CCD sensor, the Sony DSC-HX5 is equipped with a so-called back-illuminated CMOS sensor. Additionally, this compact camera has a 10x optical zoom lens with a 25m wide angle, optical SteadyShot, AVCHD Full HD video (1920×1080 pixels) and the impressively performing Sweep Panorama function with which beautiful panorama photos can be made. The Sony Cybershot HX5 is in that sense not just a standard camera.
